The butterball is such a popular shooter that there are at least four recipes for you to try. It's absolutely delicious and can even help you beef up your bartending skills.

This famous mix is generally made of butterscotch schnapps and Irish cream. You can layer it or shake it or play with the proportions. Another recipe opts for peach over butterscotch, but we recommend the golden nipple that brings cinnamon schnapps into the original mix.

With the help of four common liqueurs, you can recreate the taste of carrot cake in a glass with this carrot cake shooter. This might be one of the most delicious shots you can make, and the taste will surprise and delight you. You will have to trust us that the original chocolate cake shooter recipe does taste like the real thing. The ingredients are unusual considering the flavor we're going for, but it really does work.

The shooter is made up of citrus or vanilla vodka and hazelnut liqueur. When you're ready, drink the shot then suck on a sugar-coated lemon. It's a science experiment in a glass and one of those magical mixes we love to play with in the bar.

What does it take to liquefy those bite-sized M&M candies? Two very common ingredients you should already have in your bar. Once again, neither of them is chocolate.

The classic (as in 1980s classic) way to make an M&M shooter is with amaretto and coffee liqueurs. It's delicious, but if you must have chocolate, there's a recipe with creme de cacao and Frangelico or one with chocolate vodka. Take your pick.

The last of our really popular shooters that are now considered "vintage" is the Tootsie Roll. Yes, it does taste a lot like the candy and, yes, it is delicious.

There are a few recipes you can choose from, but the key to that signature Tootsie Roll taste is a hint of orange. One common recipe pairs orange juice with chocolate and coffee liqueurs.

Stepping away from the sweetest of sweet party shots, the cinnamon toasty has an entirely different profile. It is no less delicious, though, and it can easily become your new favorite.

The cinnamon toasty is nothing more than amaretto and cinnamon schnapps. While that may not sound amazing, it truly is a taste you will come back for again and again.

We really cannot share the most delicious shots without at least one recipe that calls for whipped cream vodka. When these flavors were released, they took our idea of dessert liquors to a new level.

For the berry whipped recipe, you'll pair that tempting, creamy-flavored vodka with a strawberry vodka. Add a splash of grenadine (because it can never be too sweet) and you have a pretty pink and oh-so-good shot to enjoy.

    Shamrocked

The other shooters here are a little tame compared to this recipe. We finally get to bring a little whiskey into the mix and if you didn't guess by the shot's name, we're talking whiskey of the Irish variety.

The shamrocked shot is both easy and unique. Midori, that famous melon liqueur with the brilliant green color, dominates it and is accented with Irish whiskey and Irish cream. It's quite tasty and perfect for St. Patrick's Day.

Jell-O shots are nice, but they cannot even begin to compare to the deliciousness of pudding shots. Whoever came up with the idea of spiking this fun treat deserves our thanks.

The best thing about pudding shots is that there are so many things you can do with them. Choose your pudding flavor, mix and match liquor, top them with whipped cream and all sorts of goodies, or create layers. You can even serve them inside edible cookie shot cups if you like.
