How We Verify the Health and Nutritional Accuracy of the Articles on Our Site

Whether you're looking for Buko Salad or Sonoran Hot Dogs, all of our recipes include nutrition facts to help you make the best choices for yourself and your loved ones.

If you're looking for more information on how a given ingredient or dish can affect your health, we have a growing library of articles addressing nutrition and special dietary needs. We want to ensure the accuracy of that information. That's why we've created a board of highly qualified registered dietitians to review any content on our site that touches on health and nutrition.

These board members review articles and recipes that contain medical information, ensuring that the content is thorough and reflects the latest in evidence-based research and health information. Those that do are marked with a "medically reviewed" checkmark.

Meet the Board Members

All our board members are either registered dietitians (RD) or registered dietitian nutritionists (RDN).

A registered dietitian undergoes extensive education and training in evidence-based nutrition and dietetics. A practitioner earns the credentials of a registered dietitian or registered dietitian nutritionist by completing a related bachelor's program, completing an internship accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), passing an exit exam, and passing a board exam.
