Jeni’s Splendid ice cream introduced Everything Bagel ice cream and the internet went wild for the marriage of two major flavor icons. It’s hard to get your hands on a pint, so we’ve created our own version. A creamy, cream cheese ice cream is filled with everything bagel seasoned streusel to create a salty, sweet, and totally bagel flavor.

This ice cream is definitely an acquired taste, but it’s a lot of fun to make and is a wild treat you can eat any time of the day, even breakfast. The recipe sounds complicated but it’s actually only four ingredients for the streusel and three ingredients for the ice cream.

It’s a no-churn recipe, so it’s simple to mix together and you don’t need any special equipment. All you need is a freezer, a loaf pan, some time to let it set up. You can find everything bagel seasoning at Trader Joe’s and Costco, or you can make your own.

You can eat this ice cream on it’s own, in a cone, or go crazy, topping it with smoked salmon and capers for a true everything bagel experience.

Ingredients

For the Everything Bagel Streusel:

  • 1/2 cup (4 ounces) unsalted butter

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/4 cup everything bagel seasoning, plus more for topping

For the Cream Cheese Ice Cream:

For the Cream Cheese Ice Cream

  1. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Be careful to not overbeat, as the cream can become separated and form butter.

  2. Beat in the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until incorporated. Again, be careful not to overbeat.
